Publishing a page to the Web |
There are several ways you can "publish" pages to the Web with AOLpress (also called "saving remotely"):
If you have access to any of the first three options, try the steps below to publish this page to your Web site. (We'll give you directions for deleting the files, too.) You'll need to know your URL (the "address" of your Web site), your username, and your password. If you don't have access to any of the first three options, you should click on one of the links above to find out how to get access. Meanwhile, you can skip to the FTP instructions. |

You can also email your pages to someone by typing "mailto:SPAMusernameTakeThisOuT at spamaddress.com" in the Location field. If you want to email a page as as ordinary text rather than with all the HTML codes, click the Options button in the "Save As" window, choose the "Text" file format and click OK. Then type "mailto:SPAMusernameTakeThisOuT at spamaddress.com" in the Location field and click OK.
For more information, see the chapter on publishing pages in the AOLpress User's Guide. You've finished learning the basics! The next section gives you a map for learning to use the various features of AOLpress. |
